Armenia Will Not Change Its Constitution at the Request of Any Country: Papoyan
Negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan are ongoing, with Armenia following its own agenda. This was stated by the Minister of Economy, Gevorg Papoyan, in a conversation with reporters.
“We have our agenda, and the negotiations are continuing. I read the recent statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which noted that one of the important points of our agenda has been mutually accepted. I believe this is a very important point for the continuation of negotiations,” he said.
When asked about changing the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia at the demand of Azerbaijan, the minister stated that Armenia can change its Constitution only if the citizens of Armenia decide so. “Armenia will not change its Constitution at the request of any country. Whether Armenia will change its Constitution or not is an internal matter for Armenia and is a decision to be made by the citizens of the Republic of Armenia, the people, the constituent,” added Papoyan.
