Political Decision Needed to Start Service at Margar checkpoint, Badasyan
A political decision is required to commence operations at the Margar checkpoint located on the Armenian-Turkish border. This was stated by the head of the Armenian State Revenue Committee, Rustam Badasyan, during a press briefing following a government meeting.
"The Margar checkpoint is ready to serve citizens of third countries and individuals with diplomatic passports. It has been ready for a long time. I don't know when it will start operating; a political decision needs to be made," he said.
It is noteworthy that it was reported back in December 2023 that the Margar checkpoint was prepared for operation.
