Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei Orders Direct Strike on Israel: NYT
Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has ordered a direct strike against Israel in response to the assassination of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh.
Khamenei issued the command during an emergency meeting, as reported by the New York Times, citing three Iranian officials, including two members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. They requested anonymity as they are not authorized to speak publicly on the matter.
No official comments on the decision have been made.
