Russia Does Not Interfere in the Domestic Affairs of Other Countries, Says Patrushev
The Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, Nikolai Patrushev, has stated that Moscow does not intervene in the internal affairs of other countries.
In an interview with "Russian Newspaper," Patrushev responded to a question regarding the upcoming presidential elections in the United States. He emphasized, "The U.S. presidential elections are an internal matter for the United States. American voters will decide for themselves who they believe is a worthy candidate to govern their country. Russia does not interfere in the domestic political life of other countries. Unlike Washington, which views interference in other countries' internal affairs as a normal component of its foreign policy," he said.
Patrushev also noted that he sees changes in the electoral process in the U.S., and it is important for Russia that Washington has a decisive influence on Ukraine's behavior.
