Biden Exits Race Not Due to Health Issues, CNN Reports

U.S. President Joe Biden's decision to exit the 2024 election race is not related to any medical issues, CNN reports, citing a senior White House official.

The 81-year-old Biden has not undergone any serious medical examinations recently. The only exception was his doctor’s daily visits related to monitoring his COVID-19 diagnosis over the past few days.

Meanwhile, last week, Biden stated that a medical issue would be the only reason that could compel him to reconsider his decision to seek a second term, as public pressure for his removal continues to grow.

Following Biden's unsuccessful performance in the debate against Donald Trump, the White House faced criticism for refusing to release medical records regarding the health status of the President of the United States.
