Accident in Kotayk Involves Honda, Mitsubishi, and Kia; 1 Dead and 2 Injured

On July 20, a major and tragic car accident occurred in the Kotayk region. Around 17:00, vehicles including a Kia, Honda, and Mitsubishi collided near the Bomb object on the Yerevan-Sevan highway, at the 22 km mark.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, one person died at the scene and is trapped in the vehicle. Two others were taken to hospitals with varying degrees of injuries: one in critical condition and the other moderately injured, with one being transported to the Hrazdan Medical Center and the other to the Abovyan Medical Center.

Civilians were the first to provide assistance to the injured, followed by the special rescue team from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, including rescue workers from the 15th rescue squad led by Commander Gurgen Aslanyan along with firefighters from the Abovyan Fire-Rescue Brigade No. 45.
