Arman Yeghoyan on Visa Liberalization Dialogues with Armenia
The dialogue on starting visa liberalization with Armenia and providing support to Armenia through the European Peace Facility were included in the agenda of the European Union's Foreign Affairs Council (Ministerial Council) meeting on July 22, announced Arman Yeghoyan, the Chair of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on European Integration.
"Decisions on these two issues will be made on that day," Yeghoyan noted.
It is worth mentioning that the European Council in Brussels today approved the proposal by the European Commission to begin negotiations on visa liberalization with Armenia, as reported by diplomatic sources to Radio Free Europe.
“After the approval of the 27 member states, the issue will be passed to the European Commission, which will announce when the negotiations will begin and what action plan will be laid out before Yerevan,” said Rikard Jozvyak, a reporter for Radio Free Europe specializing in European affairs.
