Defense Ministry Denies Reports of Soldiers Hospitalized from Gegharkunik Accident
The Armenian Ministry of Defense has denied reports claiming that soldiers were hospitalized following an accident in Gegharkunik province.
Earlier, shamshyan.com reported that around 08:25, a collision occurred near the bus station in Jambarak city involving a KamAZ truck driven by Garik S., a 37-year-old resident of Gegharkunik, and a Mitsubishi Outlander driven by Arman P., a 23-year-old resident of Yerevan.
As a result of the accident, Arman P. and his passenger, 23-year-old Karush E. from Shirak province, were taken to the Jambarak ambulatory center with bodily injuries. According to the website, the injured individuals are contract soldiers.
“No soldiers have been hospitalized as a result of the accident in Gegharkunik,” said Aram Torosyan, spokesperson for the Minister of Defense of Armenia, to Sputnik Armenia.
