Erdogan Highlights Which Country Could Help Achieve Ceasefire in Gaza
The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, believes that a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas could be achieved within the coming days. He made this statement to reporters upon returning from his visit to Kazakhstan to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit.
“Western countries need to apply pressure on Israel at this stage. I believe that as a result of this pressure, a final ceasefire can be ensured. We hope that through Biden's communications, there will be a ceasefire in the coming days and that the massacres carried out by Israel will stop,” Erdogan said, as reported by Anadolu Agency.
He also added that he discussed the ceasefire and pressure on Israel with the Qatari leadership, which is “also exerting necessary pressure through various channels.”
