UEFA Suspends Turkish Footballer for Two Matches
UEFA has suspended Merih Demiral for two matches after he displayed the gesture of the nationalist organization "Grey Wolves" on the field while celebrating Turkey's victory against Austria in Euro 2024, according to German media reports.
It is noteworthy that Demiral also published a photo on social media where he showed the "Grey Wolves" gesture, stating: "How happy is the one who can say he is Turkish." The match between the national teams of Turkey and Austria took place on July 2, ending with a score of 2:1 in favor of Turkey.
