Secretary of the National Security Council Identifies Key Tool for Armenia to Face Threats
Diversification is crucial for Armenia's resilience, both economically and in terms of security. This was stated today by the Secretary of the National Security Council, Armen Grigoryan.
“I believe that the Eastern Partnership is successful and has many positive outcomes. Fifteen years ago, when the Eastern Partnership was established, the post-Soviet countries were quite similar to each other. However, over the past 15 years, significant changes have occurred, and probably, the main demand is for an individual approach to all these member states,” said Grigoryan.
According to him, the Eastern Partnership aids Armenia's resilience. “Diversification is very important for Armenia's resilience, both economically and in terms of security. Democracy unequivocally enhances Armenia's resilience. Democracy is one of the main tools by which Armenia can face its threats. It is also crucial from the perspective of internal security. We are convinced that democracy helps with internal security, economic development, democratization, and fighting corruption, which in turn leads to significant results.”
