Iranians Fail to Elect President; Second Round Scheduled
Iranians were unable to elect a president in the first round of voting. No candidate received more than 50% of the votes. Masoud Pezeshkian secured 8,303,577 votes, while Said Jalili received 7,189,756, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf garnered 2,676,512, and Pour Mohammad received 158,314.
The second round, set to take place on July 5, will feature reformist Masoud Pezeshkian and conservative Said Jalili.
