The U.S. to Resume Bomb Deliveries to Israel
The Biden administration will resume the delivery of 500-pound bombs to Israel, which were halted in April due to U.S. concerns regarding military operations by the Israel Defense Forces in Rafah, according to the Interfax agency.
“During meetings in Washington, we were told that the 500-pound bombs will be delivered two weeks after the operation in Rafah concludes,” an Israeli official stated.
According to this official, approximately 1,700 of the 500-pound bombs will be sent to Israel. The country claims the bombs are necessary in case combat operations with Hezbollah on the northern border escalate into a full-scale war.
