Turkish Lira Sets New Record Low
The national currency of Turkey has set a new record low, crossing the threshold of 33 Turkish liras against one dollar. Today, the maximum exchange rate of the lira reached 33.13 liras per dollar, as reported by the Sözcükler television channel.
According to forecasts from market participants, based on a survey conducted by the Central Bank of Turkey in June, the exchange rate of the national currency is expected to reach 37.75 Turkish liras against the dollar by the end of the year.
The Turkish authorities claim that the state of Turkey's economy will begin to stabilize in the second half of the year.
