"Ritual Crime" - Maria Zakharova on the Attack on Sevastopol
The Ukrainian authorities have intentionally chosen the Holy Trinity Orthodox holiday to commit a "ritual crime." This was stated by Maria Zakharova, official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, while commenting on the attack by the Ukrainian armed forces on Sevastopol.
The timing of such a strike was not chosen randomly, as it coincides with Holy Trinity Day. "We understand very well what lies within the essence of the Kiev regime; it is a deep hatred for everything associated with Russia and Russian culture," the diplomat emphasized.
According to her, the ritual crimes of Kiev coincide with great holidays. For the Ukrainian authorities, there are no civil infrastructures, school holidays, or observances.
News of the missile attack on Sevastopol became known on June 23. According to preliminary information from Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, five aerial targets were destroyed in the sky over the water area, with debris falling on the coastal zone. Initially, the governor reported 14 injured, but later the number exceeded 100.
Razvozhaev later clarified that as a result of the attack by the Ukrainian armed forces, three civilians had been killed, two of whom were children. The Prime Minister has promised assistance to the families of the victims.
On June 23, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that Ukraine had targeted civilian infrastructure in Sevastopol using American ATACMS operational-tactical missiles. Civilian casualties occurred due to falling debris from the munitions.
