I Believe the Political Leadership of Armenia Will Clarify the Situation: CSTO Secretary General
The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) maintains all obligations towards Armenia, and the country remains an ally of the organization, said CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov to journalists.
“Armenia has been and remains our ally within the CSTO, and all our obligations towards Armenia remain intact. However, the question of membership in the organization is a matter of the country’s sovereign right and decision,” he stated.
According to him, the CSTO expects Yerevan to clarify Armenia's status within the organization.
“I believe that the political leadership of Armenia will still clarify the situation, and there will be an official decision on whether to be part of the organization or not,” he added.
