It Will Be Worse Than Before: Medvedev
The Ukrainian authorities may still accept Russian President Vladimir Putin's proposals for a peaceful resolution, otherwise the offensive by Russian troops will continue, and the situation will change unfavorably for Kyiv. This was stated to reporters by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia.
“If I speak very directly and honestly, I believe the president has said everything regarding this: that each subsequent proposal made by the Russian Federation to the current authorities of Ukraine, regardless of how we feel about them, will be worse than the previous one. Therefore, they now have an opportunity to accept such a proposal formulated by Vladimir Putin and, in any case, try to establish peace, thereby ending this segment of the conflict,” he said.
Otherwise, Medvedev continued, Russia’s offensive actions will continue. “As for where the border of the sanitary zone, which our country’s president has talked about, will end, it is difficult to say. All of this will not be beneficial for the current Ukrainian authorities. So they must hurry while such an opportunity exists,” he added.
