Russian Participation Necessary for Ukraine Negotiations, Says Saudi Foreign Minister
Any peaceful process for resolving the situation in Ukraine requires the participation of Russia, stated Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.
“We believe it is important for the international community to encourage any steps towards serious negotiations... The participation of Russia will be necessary for any credible process. We hope that the outcomes of the summit will reflect these objectives,” he was quoted by TASS.
According to the minister, the country is ready to support efforts aimed at ending the conflict.
Earlier, Switzerland's President Viola Amherd stated that a peaceful process for Ukraine is unimaginable without Russia.
Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, speaking at a summit in Bürgenstock, noted that the Swiss conference could be more effective with the participation of Russia.
