Belarus Provided Modern Weapons to Azerbaijan: Politico
Between 2018 and 2022, Belarus supplied modern weapons to Azerbaijan, despite both countries being considered allies within the Collective Security Treaty Organization, according to Politico, which cited documents in its possession.
These documents include over a dozen letters, diplomatic notes, payment receipts, and export passports, which indicate that Belarus actively aided the Azerbaijani armed forces during this period. The proposed services included the modernization of old artillery equipment and the supply of new equipment for electronic warfare and drone systems.
The documents also contain letters from Belarus's State Authority for Military Export to its defense industry companies. According to Politico, advanced artillery targeting equipment was exported to Azerbaijan. Furthermore, Belarus and Azerbaijan agreed on the purchase of Groza-S mobile combat stations for counter-drone operations.
