The Country Can Set High Standards: Minister of Finance

The recent developments and explosive growth in Armenia indicate that the country can set high standards. This was stated by the Minister of Finance, Vahe Hovhannisyan, during the presentation of the annual report on the implementation of the 2023 state budget in the National Assembly on June 12.

“The developments of recent years and the explosive growth truly demonstrate that Armenia can set high standards. In determining these standards and working towards achieving them, fortunately, there is no longer a significant role for pathetic expressions and empty patriotic rhetoric,” said Hovhannisyan.

The minister emphasized that it is the efforts and aspirations of every citizen towards excellence that will ensure the realization of these standards. “It is evident that our policy, in this sense, ensures a flattering and competitive environment for the entrepreneur and the consumer, for every citizen of Armenia. The syndrome of mediocrity, which we are all infected with, must be overcome. And what is called excellence should become a way of life in competitive, fair, and dignified conditions. My words are about self-improvement and conscious responsibility towards life and the homeland,” he concluded.
