They Will Not Be Forced to Surrender. Scholz Appeals to Putin
The Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, has appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin, demanding that he acknowledge that Ukraine cannot be 'brought to its knees.' The head of the German government made the statement in a video address published on his social media platform X.
"Ukraine is strong and will not kneel; they will not be forced to surrender. Putin must ultimately accept this," said the politician. He added that Kyiv will only be satisfied with a just peace. Currently, all of Ukraine's foreign partners are working towards achieving this, Scholz concluded.
