The United States Officially Begins Withdrawal of Troops from Niger
The United States has begun withdrawing its troops from Niger. This was announced by Colonel Mamane Sani Kyaou, chief of staff of the country's ground forces, as reported by Afrique Média television.
“The United States has officially started withdrawing its troops from Niger. A total of 269 military personnel and 946 tons of military equipment have already departed from the country,” he stated.
American forces are expected to leave the country by September 15.
