Bishop Bagrat on Prisoners Held in Baku
“It has already been 4 years since we have had prisoners, yet this government promised to return everyone within months,” stated Bishop Bagrat during an online briefing. “There are no prisoners in Armenia, while our guys are on the other side. If there is goodwill, one of the key issues is the return of prisoners—without preconditions. Everything depends on what questions should be put on the table for real negotiations. The return of prisoners and the resolution of other issues will not happen if there are no real negotiations. How do you envision the return of prisoners when, for instance, demarcation is taking place under dictation, when everything is subject to Azerbaijan's whims?”
