Israeli Presence in the Region Will Lead to Instability: Iran Warns Azerbaijan
The presence of Israel in the region will lead to instability in the South Caucasus, stated Iran's acting president Mohammad Mohber during a phone conversation with Aliyev, according to IRNA. Mohber emphasized that peace and security in the region should be ensured through cooperation among the countries in the area, reiterating President Raisi’s comments that the Zionist regime is actually part of NATO, and that the presence of such foreigners in the region will lead to instability in the Caucasus, as reported by the agency.
During the conversation, the discussions also included the work on creating a transport corridor connecting Nakhchivan through Iran to the main territory of Azerbaijan.
