VIDEO: You’re a Scoundrel, Haykaz Jomardyan Tells Journalist

“You are the filthy one, understood? Astghik Aghajanyan, you are a scoundrel,” said Haykaz Jomardyan, commander of the special forces battalion of the Yerevan city police, to a journalist during a protest event.

The protesters were outraged that the red berets were using force against the mother of a fallen soldier, and they responded with, “I spit in your face.” In response to chants of “Turk,” one of the red berets replied, “The Turk is your grandfather.”

It is noteworthy that Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan had released a decision stating that, “For significant contributions and diligent service in maintaining public order, Haykaz Jomardyan, the commander of the special forces battalion of the Yerevan city police, was awarded a gold medal by the Mayor of Yerevan.”
