‘Kyokh’ to be questioned in court regarding the case of Mikayel Arzumanyan
The former commander of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Mikayel Arzumanyan's case has summoned Karen Jalavyan, known as 'Kyokh', to testify as a witness. The press service of the Supreme Judicial Council confirmed to ‘Factinfo’ that today, under the presiding judge Vardges Sargsyan, Karen Jalavyan will be questioned as a witness in the Anti-Corruption Court.
It should be noted that the case is being examined in a closed session.
Recall that on August 30, 2022, Mikayel Arzumanyan was arrested for negligence committed during the organization of defense in Shushi and the surrounding areas. According to the Investigative Committee, the Lieutenant General exhibited negligence towards his official duties from October 30 to November 9, 2020, during the organization of defense in Shushi and its neighboring regions, failing to perform or improperly performing them, which resulted in grave consequences.
The other aspect of the accusation pertains to the retreat from the liberating heights known as 'Arega'.
