Peskov on the Events in Kiran
Russia advocates for the continuation of communications between Baku and Yerevan, which are necessary for the full de-escalation and resolution of disputed issues. This was stated by Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, as reported by RIA Novosti.
Earlier, the public initiative "Tavush for the Homeland" announced that contract servicemen were joining the protest action in Kiran, where participants demand an end to the border demarcation process with Azerbaijan and the transfer of several border areas to the Azerbaijani side.
“We would not want to comment on that. You know that we support the continuation of communications between Baku and Yerevan. We believe that they are necessary for general de-escalation and the final resolution of all disputed issues on the agenda, in order to quickly reach the signing of a peace treaty,” Peskov said in response to reporters' requests to comment on the information about contract servicemen joining the protest against border demarcation with Azerbaijan in Kiran.
