France is Less Dependent on Russian Gas than Other EU Countries, Says Macron
France is less dependent on Russian gas than other EU countries. This was stated by French President Emmanuel Macron after the EU summit in Brussels.
“Today, Russian gas and oil products are being purchased through third countries. However, thanks to our model of using atomic energy and alternative sources, France is less dependent on Russian gas than other states,” he said.
At the same time, Macron emphasized that France will continue to develop nuclear energy and alternative sources of electricity.
