Yulia Navalnaya Named Among World's 100 Most Influential People by Time
Yulia Navalnaya, the wife of Alexei Navalny, has been included in Time magazine's list of the world's 100 most influential people. The tribute to Navalnaya was penned by U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris.
Harris recalled Navalnaya's speech during the Munich Security Conference, delivered immediately after the news of her husband's death. The U.S. Vice President noted that Navalnaya "courageously condemned the lies and brutality of the Russian authorities."
On that day, we met and spoke about her children and her family's thoughts not only on her husband's fate but also on the future of his business. Fortunately, Yulia Navalnaya has now taken on a leading role on the global stage. She has vowed to continue her husband's fight for justice and the rule of law, bringing new hope to those fighting against corruption and advocating for a free and democratic Russia. Nevertheless, she exhibits exceptional dedication and strength. Since that day in Munich, Navalnaya has become not only a symbol of democratic values but also a courageous fighter for them. The United States stands by her and all those who fight for freedom and democracy," Harris wrote.
On February 19, three days after Alexei Navalny's death, Yulia Navalnaya recorded a video message stating that she would continue her husband's work. She also accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of being responsible for Alexei Navalny's murder.
