The West Cannot Provide Ukraine with the Same Assistance as Israel: Borrell

The West cannot provide Ukraine with the same assistance in terms of defense against drones as it does for Israel, as the circumstances are very different, said Josep Borrell, the head of EU diplomacy, following a video conference of EU foreign ministers.

“Iran's attacks against Israel have taken place against the bases of France, the USA, Great Britain, and Jordan, therefore these countries have responded in self-defense. But there are no such bases in Ukraine. Therefore, we cannot provide the same assistance; the circumstances are completely different,” he stated in response to a relevant question from reporters.
