Masked and Armed Robbery in Yerevan
On April 3, a masked and armed robbery occurred in Yerevan. Around 09:05, an unknown individual entered the Postal Service branch '0039' located at 7 Bagratuniats Street and, brandishing a weapon at the staff, demanded all the money present, as reported by Shamshyan.com.
The assailant was unsuccessful in achieving his goal, facing resistance from the female employees of the Postal Service. According to police reports, the man, armed with a firearm and wearing a medical mask, demanded that the money be filled into a polyethylene bag which he threw towards the employees. However, upon encountering resistance, he fled the scene.
A criminal investigation has been initiated in the Shengavit Investigation Division on charges of attempted robbery. According to website reports, officers from the criminal investigation department of the Yerevan Police have already identified the suspected criminal. It is noted that this is the third incident of attempted robbery at the same Postal Service branch, following two previous attempts.
