Russia's Prosecutor General Begins Procedure to Recognize Pugacheva as a 'Foreign Agent'
The process to recognize Russian singer Alla Pugacheva as a 'foreign agent' has begun in Russia. This was announced by Vitaly Borodin, the head of the federal project for security and the fight against corruption, on his Telegram channel.
He specified that, according to his request, the Prosecutor General's Office has sent a corresponding application to the Ministry of Justice.
“The procedure to recognize Alla Pugacheva as a foreign agent has begun; the prosecutor's office has sent a relevant request to the Russian Ministry of Justice to classify Pugacheva as a foreign agent. I hope that the supervisory bodies will see this matter through to the end,” Borodin wrote.
As reported by Russian media, the demand to classify Pugacheva as a 'foreign agent' came after her statement that 'normal people are not planning to return to Russia.'
