Video: Suspect in the Brutal Murder Case of Pemzashen Admits to Raping 12-Year-Old Girl
The Yerevan General Court of Jurisdiction, under the chairmanship of Judge Artush Gabrielyan, continues to examine the case of the brutal murder that took place in the village of Pemzashen, Shirak Province, last year. Today, March 6, the prosecuting attorney read the indictment in court. The indictment detailed the circumstances under which Vruyr and Arkadi Barseghyans murdered family members.
According to the charges, Vruyr Barseghyan, in agreement with Arkadi Barseghyan, committed robbery through illegal entry and violence with preliminary intent to illegally obtain another’s property. Additionally, the charges state that Arkadi Misak Barseghyan, as part of this robbery (to conceal another crime), as well as to hide the fact that he had previously proposed an extramarital affair to Zarine Meliksetyan, violently killed Zarine Meliksetyan. Furthermore, to conceal their crimes of robbery and the murder of Zarine Meliksetyan, they also violently murdered the helpless 8-year-old Sargis Meliksetyan and 11-year-old Karine Meliksetyan. Before the murder of Karine, Vruyr Barseghyan had sexual intercourse with her, as she was under the age of 12.
