Suspicious White Residue Found in Olives Sent to Nubarashen Penitentiary
The security personnel of the Nubarashen Penitentiary of the Republic of Armenia's Ministry of Justice, having received information about the potential smuggling of prohibited items, conducted an inspection on February 21 at around 14:20. This inspection was carried out in collaboration with the operatives of the central body of the Penitentiary Service at the Nubarashen district.
During the inspection, a package brought by citizen V.M. for the detained individual A.S. was examined. The package contained fish cutlets and two containers, one of which held 11 presalted olives. In one of the olives, the officers discovered a white crystalline substance resembling narcotics, while the others showed white residues similar to those of narcotic substances.
V.M. was arrested by the operational officers and was presented to the investigative division of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia for the administrative districts of Yerevan, specifically Erebuni and Nubarashen.
