Chipped Human Can Move Computer Mouse with Mind Power, Musk Says
The first human to have a chip implanted in their brain by Neuralink appears to have fully recovered and is capable of controlling a computer mouse using just their thoughts. This was announced by Neuralink founder Elon Musk late Monday, as reported by Reuters.
"There has been good progress, and the patient seems to have fully recovered... The patient is able to move the mouse around the screen just by thinking," Musk stated during the Spaces event.
Musk elaborated that Neuralink is currently working to enhance the patient's ability to click the mouse button as much as possible.
It should be noted that Neuralink, the neurotechnology company, implanted its first neurochip in a human brain on January 28, designed for using various devices through thoughts.
