Ukrainian Armed Forces Withdraw from Avdiivka's Zenith Position

After months of confrontation, a decision has been made to withdraw from the Zenith position located in the southeastern outskirts of Avdiivka, said Brigadier General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, commander of the operational-strategic group of the Tavria forces, according to UNIAN.

"We have held this position for as long as it was possible to effectively deter and eliminate the enemy," he noted.

He added that the withdrawal decision was made to preserve personnel and improve the operational environment.

“The tactical seizure of these positions does not provide the enemy with a strategic advantage and does not change the situation regarding the defensive operations in Avdiivka. Currently, troop regrouping, supply replenishment, and repositioning of units at new positions are ongoing. Units are being reinforced as planned,” the general stated.
