What Is the Connection of the Candidate for the European Parliament Presidency to the Child Trafficking Case in Armenia?

The newspaper "Pasts" reports: "The governments of EU member states must reach an agreement on the candidacy for the President of the European Parliament by July. One of the most likely candidates is Mario Draghi, the former president of the European Central Bank and former prime minister of Italy.

This is the same Draghi whose name has been circulated in connection with a criminal case related to child trafficking in Armenia. Reportedly, Mario Draghi's son, Giacomo Draghi, also adopted a child from Armenia.

It has been reported that 'when the Armenian government announced during a cabinet meeting that illegal adoptions had taken place, and a criminal case was subsequently initiated, there was a near-political scandal as the former Italian Prime Minister and his family demanded that the Armenian authorities halt the investigation and the embarrassing noise that damages their family and infringes upon the rights of the adopted child.' According to this, the Armenian side was forced to remove the episode involving the Italian prime minister's grandson from the case materials and the information about the adoption carried out by Draghi.

And now, the same Mario Draghi is looking to become the President of the European Parliament.'
