Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry Responds to Ararat Mirzoyan's Speech
Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Chaykhan Haji-zadeh, has addressed the speech by Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan during the ceremony marking Armenia's accession to the Rome Statute.
The Azerbaijani side condemned Mirzoyan's statements, accusing Armenia of unfounded allegations.
"This speech once again shows that Armenia's accession to the Roman Statute was an attempt to use these institutions for their unfounded claims, malicious actions, promotion of hatred, disinformation, and a misinterpretation of international law," Haji-zadeh said.
According to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesperson, "Azerbaijan will continue its efforts to end the impunity for serious violations of international law, to promote the rule of law, and to establish, strengthen, and sustain peace and security in the region."
