Video: Hand Placed on Shoulder and Leg, Attempt to Kiss—Sexual Assault Incident in Yerevan

A woman has filed a report with the Arabkir Police department. According to her, about three hours ago, an unknown individual placed his hand on her shoulder and leg while she was on a bus. She pushed his hand away and exited the bus on Azatutyun Avenue, walking towards Nairi Zaryan Street, where the same man attacked her, grabbing her face and hands, causing physical pain, and attempting to kiss her against her will, while also touching various parts of her body.

“On December 23, as a result of operational and investigative measures taken by the Arabkir criminal investigation officers, it was determined that this act was committed by a 36-year-old resident of Byureghavan. On the same day, he was found in Byureghavan, arrested, and taken to the Arabkir police department, where he confessed to the act,” the statement reads. It is reported that the man and the relevant documents have been presented to the Arabkir investigative department.
