Ukraine Plans Counteroffensive in 2024
The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, is planning a new counteroffensive in 2024. This was reported by the German publication Welt.
“Ukraine is likely gathering resources for a new counteroffensive next year,” the publication quoted German security expert and political advisor Niko Lange. He added that one of the starting points could be a bridge in Kherson.
The article mentions that Zaluzhnyi has never been in favor of launching an offensive this year, as he did not see a chance of success without sufficient air support, and agreed to it only for political considerations. “However, next year the attack will be exactly what Zaluzhnyi initially envisioned,” the article concludes.
