Weightlifter Aleksandra Grigoryan Wins Bronze Medal
Member of the Armenian weightlifting team and junior world champion Aleksandra Grigoryan has become a bronze medalist at the Grand Prix competition in Doha, with a total lift of 189 kg in the clean and jerk category. This marks the 18-year-old athlete's first medal in adult competitions.
The information was reported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport. In the snatch event, the Armenian athlete lifted 81 kg over her head, while in the clean and jerk, she lifted 108 kg. Notably, Grigoryan's clean and jerk result surpassed her performance at the World Youth Championships. In both events, she achieved the fourth-best result.
