VIDEO: Police Detain 'Zang' Activists and Their Tent Amid Tensions in Central Yerevan

Members of the 'Zang' movement were conducting an awareness campaign on Saryan Street, chanting 'We are not obedient, we do not agree.' The police demanded that they carry out the action on the sidewalk.

Participants highlighted that it was uncomfortable to conduct the campaign on the sidewalks and requested to secure the possibility of marching through the traffic zone until it would be possible to carry out the action on the sidewalks.

The police also confiscated the tent from the participants and placed it in a police vehicle. It should be noted that the initiative members were conducting an awareness action in the streets of the Central district, after which they were to set up a tent in Republic Square.
