SRC Addresses Congestion of Armenian Trucks at Upper Lars Checkpoint
The State Revenue Committee (SRC) informs that the situation created at the Upper Lars checkpoint is under the direct attention of the committee’s leadership. Regular discussions are held regarding the resolution of the situation.
At the same time, the committee reports that the direction towards the Russian Federation is constantly monitored at the Upper Lars checkpoint, resulting in many Armenian trucks entering Russia.
Regarding the trucks that have stopped at the checkpoint and the concerning issue of perishable goods, the problems are being promptly identified, and simultaneously, relevant information is communicated to the Ministry of Economy and the Food Safety Inspection Body for joint discussions and planning further actions.
Additionally, it is reminded that the customs attaché at the Embassy of Armenia in Russia is located at the Upper Lars checkpoint and is ready to assist carriers; if necessary, they can contact the SRC representative.
