Pashinyan on the Prospects of Establishing Relations with Pakistan and Saudi Arabia
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has informed that diplomatic, lower-level efforts are being made to establish relations with Pakistan. He stated, “For 30 years, they have not recognized our independence, and diplomatic relations have not been established. We need to understand the reasons for this and make progress in this situation. It is not an easy task.”
According to Pashinyan, once a peace agreement with Azerbaijan is successfully concluded, it will serve as a rationale for establishing diplomatic relations with Pakistan as well.
He also addressed the prospects of establishing relations with Saudi Arabia. “I hope that in the near future, Armenia and Saudi Arabia will officially establish diplomatic relations, which would be a very important and significant event,” he remarked.
