German Government to Provide Financial Aid to Armenia
The German government will provide €84.6 million in aid to Armenia in the form of grants and loans. This was announced today at a joint press conference held in Yerevan by Armenia's Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan and Germany's Secretary of State for Economic Development and Cooperation Nils Annen.
The funds will be aimed at new projects in the fields of vocational technical education and renewable energy.
“Armenia has once again proven its commitment to democracy and a democratic society,” emphasized the Secretary of State. He stated that this is a clear signal to the entire world that Germany and Armenia are opening a new path of cooperation.
In Yerevan, Armenian-German intergovernmental negotiations are being held for two days.
