After Release of Hostages in Gaza, Israel to Continue Operations
Even after a temporary ceasefire and the release of hostages, Israel will continue its operations aimed at the annihilation of Hamas in the Gaza Strip. This was stated by Israeli Minister of Emergency Affairs and member of the wartime cabinet Benny Gantz.
According to Gantz, as quoted by Galei IDF radio, the actions of the Israeli army are now only intensifying. "Even if there is a pause for the return of hostages, we will return and strike the enemy with full force. Currently, the operation is expanding, intensifying, and deepening," Gantz said, as reported by Galey Tzahal radio.
Additionally, it was reported earlier by Al Arabiya that Hamas and Israel are close to reaching an agreement on the release of 50 civilian hostages in exchange for a humanitarian ceasefire lasting 3-5 days.
