Peace Agreement Text Can Be Agreed Upon More Quickly, Hajiyev

Azerbaijan delivered the 5th revised version of the peace agreement to the Armenian side on September 11, with appropriate notes, and is awaiting a response from Armenia. This statement was made by Hikmet Hajiyev, assistant to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

“The Armenian side has been delaying the submission of its version of the document for over two months,” Hajiyev said.

According to him, this is a “historic chance,” and there are no longer any circumstances hindering the signing of the document.

“The text of the peace agreement is not nuclear physics. In accordance with the fundamental principles of international law proposed by Azerbaijan, the text of the peace agreement can be agreed upon more quickly. The ball is now in Armenia's court,” Hajiyev noted.
