We Increased Pashinyan's Rating Without Spending a Dime: Arsenyan on Russian First Channel
Gurgen Arsenyan, a member of the Civil Contract faction, commented on the Russian First Channel’s broadcast regarding Nikol Pashinyan. In a conversation with reporters, Arsenyan stated, “I believe that without spending a single dime, we increased the country's leader's rating by a few percentage points.”
“The collective that was sitting in the studio raised the rating of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan. My feelings while watching the program were definitely mixed; from what I heard and viewed, it didn’t align with any political or semi-political show. They were operating more like ‘sworn judges’ in a court, sitting there sharing their opinions about the defendant,” he added.
“Then witnesses from Armenia came, who are, let’s say, strange figures with Armenian names, deciding that they needed to go and testify before non-expert judges to somehow reach a verdict. However, once again, the propaganda of Russian television, which was supposed to serve another purpose, had completely different results. I believe that freedom of speech is that, freedom of speech. Because the process of silencing can last indefinitely,” the MP noted.
