Iran Faces Dilemma of War with Israel: Reuters

Iranian authorities are making strong statements against Israel but are not planning to enter into open conflict. This is reported by Reuters, citing Iranian officials.

According to the agency, the Hamas group has long received funding from Tehran. Iran can no longer remain aloof from the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, as doing so would undermine its decades-long efforts to achieve regional leadership and would be perceived as a sign of weakness.

It is noted that Tehran allows the Lebanese group Hezbollah to carry out cross-border attacks against Israel and to target small American assets.
