Avinyan on Extending Kindergarten Hours for Children
It is a priority for us that working parents have the opportunity to leave their children in kindergartens for extended hours. This was stated by Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan during a Regulatory Meeting.
He mentioned that efforts should be made to establish such possibilities in almost all kindergartens within a year.
The mayor was informed that extended hours groups are currently operating in 85 kindergartens in Yerevan. A total of 26,500 children attend kindergartens, of which 1,000 stay for extended hours.
